Electrical installation at Birmingham Ormiston Academy commences

We were thrilled to recently commence work on site at Birmingham Ormiston Academy after announcing that Morecrofts had secured this exciting new education sector project back in May 2021. Our team is currently providing complete electrical installation services following the design stage.

The large new academy will mark the 8th education sector project we have carried out for Kier Construction, with previous projects – many completed via the EFA framework agreement – including:

• Nicholas Chamberlaine School, Bedworth
• Wilsthorpe School, Nottinghamshire
• Bemrose School, Derby
• Serlby Park Academy, Doncaster

This government-funded project in Birmingham will welcome its first pupils in September 2022 and is set to cater for 900 children when fully up and running. The 7,887 sq m building is also set to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” standard.

We can’t wait to see this site transform into a digital-specialist school with great facilities and are excited to get started on another quality education sector project.
