Morecrofts to add over 500 bedrooms of student accommodation to its 4,000 running total as Traffic Street project commences
We were delighted to commence electrical work at a new large student accommodation project on Traffic Street, Nottingham this month. The project is the second we have undertaken for Midlands-based nmcn plc and will see Morecrofts complete 522 bedrooms of student accommodation.
Having carried out electrical services to over 4,000 bedrooms of student accommodation in the past, it will take Morecrofts’ running total to over 4,500 bedrooms – with even more having been delivered for hotels and other residential buildings previously too.
The new build, on Traffic Street in Nottingham, is already taking shape with steelwork structures in place. When completed the site will look to support Nottingham City Council’s ambition to create more purpose-built student living in Nottingham.
It not only follows on from another successful project at Talbot Street with nmcn, but will also provide living quarters to students of the city’s two universities – both of which we have completed numerous projects for previously.
Having recently visited Talbot Street for final sign-offs just over a year after completion, we can’t wait to see this second project brought to life.
