Morecrofts secure £4.0 million of new contracts for 2023

Morecrofts have been awarded £4.0 million of new contracts for 2023, spanning our specialist food, commercial, and accommodation sectors. Two of the three new projects are for our long-term client Clegg Group, who we have had a close relationship with for over 20 years.

UK’s largest pasta facility

The first of the new electrical services contracts is for the UK’s largest fresh pasta manufacturing facility based in Park Royal, London. Morecrofts were appointed by Clegg Food Projects to support the construction of the new facility for Pasta Evangelists, who provide pasta meals for home delivery and are owned by Barilla, the world’s largest pasta producer with revenues of over £4 billion.

This fast-track electrical project commences on-site shortly and is located in the former head office and warehouse of the fashion business, Jack Wills.

Florence Boot Hall, University of Nottingham

The second of the new contracts is the University of Nottingham’s student accommodation, Florence Boot Hall for main contractor Clegg Construction Ltd.

This project involves the refurbishment of an existing historic building to provide upgraded state-of-the-art accommodation for university students and includes services to 200 bedrooms and ancillary areas.

This is the 8th project we have carried out for the University of Nottingham, with previous works including the Advanced Manufacturing Building. We have also now secured over 3000 bedrooms of student accommodation and are currently installing electrical services on the 702-bedroomed Island Quarter scheme.

IVC Vets, Birmingham

The final of the new projects is the design and installation of electrical services to a new large vets practice in Longbridge, Birmingham. With over 2600 clinics around the world, IVC is a global leader in veterinary practices and this will be one of the largest veterinary hospitals in the UK.

We are proud to have secured this new state-of-the-art centre in the Midlands for construction company A&S Enterprise Ltd. On-site works will commence shortly with this fast-track project being completed by late summer / early autumn 2023.
