Morecrofts win 2022 Derbyshire Brain Game

Morecrofts were absolutely thrilled to lift the trophy at the 2022 Derbyshire Brain Game last week, during a brilliant night for a truly brilliant cause.

In aid of Marie Curie UK, the event raised £41,669 – including through the auction of our 4 Spurs hospitality tickets. The funds raised are equivalent to 2084 hours of nursing care in our county.

Morecrofts have been taking part in the charity fundraiser since around 2015, with this being the 6th time we have entered a team. Over the years, we have donated a one-off playing experience with young Derby tennis star Jay Clarke as well as additional Spurs hospitality tickets, all auctioned off to the sum of around £5,000.

Our team attended this year’s event alongside numerous Derby-based organisations, many within the construction and property sectors, including: Marketing Derby, Smith Partnership, Geldards LLP, Boxall Brown & Jones, Salloway Property Consultants, Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd, Whitehouse Construction Co Ltd, Clowes Developments, Pick Everard and more.

With one round to go the Morecrofts team were in 8th place, but they pulled it out the bag (using their joker in the music round and doubling a 9-point score) to take home the trophy. Below are some fantastic images from the night…
