Cheltenham ‘super’ Medical Centre gets underway

This month Morecrofts mark the start of electrical work at a new ‘super’ Medical Centre in Cheltenham having recently completed the in-house BIM design stage. First announced alongside £5 million worth of new work secured during COVID-19, we’re delighted to be commencing on-site with client CheltMed Ltd and main contractor B&K Building Services Ltd.

The new construction will be a three-story 2,320 sq m building with 23 consulting rooms on the ground and first floors, eight treatment and enhanced treatment rooms, an on-site Pharmacy and more. The ‘super’ centre will serve around 25,000 patients.

Over the next few months Morecrofts will be providing electrical services to the modern purpose-built construction including mains distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, fire alarms and access control systems.

This project is one of a long line of joint work with Derby-based B&K Building Services Ltd and further strengthens our 12 year relationship with the company. It follows on from recently completed schemes for this client in Bow, East London and Brentwood in Essex.
