Morecrofts Sees A Duo Of Staff Promotions

After recently achieving a major milestone, which saw Morecrofts complete over £50 million of electrical work in the past five years, Morecrofts’ success continues with the promotion of two of its staff.

The first is Lisa Marples, who joined the team as Company Accountant / Company Secretary in April 2019. We’re delighted that Lisa has now been appointed to the board as company Finance Director – no doubt she will continue to be a great asset to the team!

The second is Tom Swindell. Tom joined us as an apprentice electrician some 14 years ago and has worked for us ever since. First qualifying as an electrician in 2012 and an Approved Electrician in 2016, we’re thrilled that Tom has been promoted from a Senior Site Manager to the position of Contracts Manager.

The move gives him the opportunity to continue his career managing numerous large electrical installation projects around the UK. Both a large office development in Maidenhead and a 330-bedroomed student accommodation building in Talbot Street, Nottingham were recently completed with Tom as Site Manager.

Managing Director Jared Mitchell commented:
“It’s fantastic to see a young man develop from a 16 year old to an excellent engineer and want to develop his career further. It’s always our aim to promote in-house and this is a fantastic opportunity for Tom to continue to progress his career further with the company he joined straight from school!”

With a number of apprentices over the years, it’s great to showcase how apprenticeships provide a valuable route into the industry. And with on-going success down to a fantastic team of committed staff, it’s great to see hard work being rewarded.
