With increasing housing developments in the area, the demand for high-quality educational facilities has risen significantly. Our work at Dunstall Park Primary School focused on delivering advanced electrical installations that enhance both functionality and energy efficiency, creating a modern and sustainable learning environment.

Located within the Dunstall Park Estate in Tamworth, the newly built Dunstall Park Primary School has been designed to provide an educational and inspiring space for students. The school includes seven contemporary classrooms, a dedicated nursery area, an indoor hall for assemblies and activities, and extensive outdoor sports facilities to support physical well-being.

As the second school developed under the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership, this project follows the Entrust ‘Touchstone’ model, an innovative approach that standardises design and specifications to ensure construction efficiency, high-quality educational spaces, and adaptability for future expansion.

Sustainability was at the heart of the project, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency. The design maximizes natural daylight and ventilation, creating a bright and comfortable environment for students and staff. High levels of insulation contribute to reduced energy consumption, while the integration of renewable energy solutions aligns with Staffordshire County Council’s commitment to climate change initiatives and the Net Zero Agenda.

The completion of this project has resulted in a significant enhancement of educational facilities, providing students with modern, well-equipped classrooms and dedicated spaces that foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. The inclusion of energy-efficient designs and renewable energy sources has further strengthened the school’s sustainability credentials, ensuring that it meets the highest environmental standards while reducing its carbon footprint.
