Nottingham Trent University’s Lyth Building Completed
Working with main contractor Clegg Construction Ltd we’re pleased to announce that electrical installation at Nottingham Trent University’s Lyth Building is now complete!
Positioned on the University’s Brackenhurst Campus in Southall, Nottinghamshire, the 2500 sqm facility has a prominent entrance and reception and will act as a new “heart” of the rural campus.
The Lyth building is a timber-framed two storey structure and houses an environment centre, exhibition space, cafe/dining area, 200 seat lecture theatre and staff offices.
It’s home to the University’s School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Services and also contains world-class teaching, learning and research facilities.
Morecrofts provided design and installation of electrical services to this new high-tech building including internal and external lighting, emergency lighting, security systems, mains distribution and fire alarm systems, and mechanical partner Mellor Bromley Ltd provided air conditioning and ventilation systems.
The completion of the building marks an important milestone in the University’s five-year plan to transform the campus. It’s the 7th scheme we have completed for Nottingham Trent University, showcasing our education sector expertise!
