Morecrofts were appointed as the electrical installer to this large refurbishment and extension project in the historic Market Hall in the Derbyshire town of Chesterfield.

This long overdue project breathed new life into a local iconic building, generating new business opportunities in the market itself as well as providing small lettable areas for innovative business start-ups. A two-storey extension was added to the front of the building as well as a new atrium providing a great source of natural light.

The local authority, Chesterfield Council, and the local community are delighted with the end result and the impact on the wider community of Chesterfield.

Service installation included: main electrical supply alterations, new distribution panel and associated sub-distribution, energy-efficient lighting and emergency lighting systems, fire alarm and life safety systems, door entry and security systems, small power and mechanical services wiring, data and telecom installations, and lightning protection systems.
