A New Chapter Begins at Castle Rock School
Big changes are on the horizon for Castle Rock School in Coalville, and we’re pleased to be helping shape the next generation of learning spaces for the community. Working with Graham Construction, this scheme will bring a major upgrade to the existing campus and provide modern, high‑quality facilities for staff and students.
The project involves the demolition of several older school buildings and the construction of a brand‑new “super block”. As well as the new teaching block, the programme also includes new outdoor learning and play areas, a three‑court multi-use games area (MUGA), upgraded sports pitches and further improvements across the wider campus.
Once complete, the redeveloped site will offer modern facilities designed to support both academic and pastoral needs for students aged 11 to 18.
Our teams have recently begun the electrical design phase, preparing services for the updated building layouts and the wide mix of spaces included in the new block. Demolition and construction work are expected to begin in early 2026, with our teams due on site from October 2026. The new teaching facility is scheduled to complete in July 2027.
Morecrofts Chairman, Jared Mitchell commented:
“We’ve been working on this project behind the scenes for the last 18 months, so it’s great to see it pushing forward. Castle Rock is an important development for the area, and we’re excited to help bring the new building to life.”
This appointment adds to our ongoing portfolio of education projects across the region, where we continue to support the delivery of modern, purpose‑built learning environments.”
