Supporting Derby Together: Our Christmas Charity Padel Event

We are very excited to be gearing up for a festive sporting event with a purpose, as the team prepares to host a Christmas Charity Padel Tournament at We Are Padel, Pride Park (Derby), on 11th December 2025.

The idea for the tournament came from the team’s growing enthusiasm for padel and a desire to use the sport as a way of bringing people together to support local causes. The event will raise funds for the Derby County Community Trust, as well as several food banks and homeless shelters that provide essential support to people across the city during the winter period.

Padel is an upcoming sport in the UK and has continued to gain popularity thanks to its inclusive nature and fast-paced, sociable style of play. Combining elements of squash and tennis, the sport is accessible to beginners while still offering plenty of challenge for more experienced players.

We have already received an enthusiastic response, with Boolers Pension & Investments confirmed as the headline sponsor. A full line-up of 32 teams has now been secured, promising a lively afternoon of competition and community spirit.

After the tournament, participants and supporters will come together at Seven Derby to round off the day. We will share a further update once the final fundraising total has been confirmed, but the team is already looking forward to a memorable event in support of some brilliant local organisations.
