Transforming Woodlands School: Morecrofts Secures Key Role in Coventry’s New SEND Facility
We’re proud to announce our involvement in the ambitious transformation of the former Woodlands School in Coventry. Teaming up with long-term client Clegg Construction Ltd, we have secured a multimillion-pound contract to deliver the design and installation of electrical services for this state-of-the-art SEND school, which will serve the region’s educational needs for years to come.
A Much-Needed Community Asset
Closed in 2016, the Woodlands School site is undergoing a large-scale refurbishment to create a high-quality facility tailored to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The project will consolidate the primary and secondary provisions of Woodfield School into a single, purpose-built campus designed to enhance the learning experience.
The redevelopment includes:
- Refurbishment of seven existing buildings, featuring new windows, doors, flooring, and insulation.
- Creation of new play areas and an outdoor forest school.
- High-spec facilities to support students with diverse needs.
A Trusted Partner in Coventry’s Development
This latest project continues Morecrofts’ strong track record in the Coventry region. Over the years, we have been proud to deliver high-quality electrical services for key local developments, including Nicholas Chamberlain Secondary School, Barrs Hill School, and the Sherbourne Recycling Factory.
Working alongside Clegg Construction Ltd, a trusted client for over 30 years, we are pleased to contribute to another transformative project that will benefit the community for generations.
Looking Ahead
With the school scheduled to open in 2026, our teams are already hard at work, ensuring the project remains on track to meet its goals.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue to progress on this exciting development.
